Children’s memories and feelings are covered with the head, when you look out of the window in the morning, you see falling snow flakes, powdered, almost fabulous trees and white-white “infinity”.
At once it would be desirable to dress warmly and, having grasped thick mittens and a bag of carrots, to go to a winter fairy tale. True, already as a parent. But even for a short time to fall into childhood (especially on the eve of the New Year holidays) – only to the benefit.
The main thing is to choose a fun winter game , so that the walk was to the joy and to the carapaces, and to the mother and father.
Best ideas for organizing winter recreation with children
So, what to do in winter with children on the street during a walk?
- We make snow out of snow
And it does not have to be a snowman. Although it is worth noting that snowmen are different: sometimes on a winter street there will be such a miracle with a carrot nose that you want to give a medal to a small sculptor. In the process of snow making, the main thing is to include imagination. And remind the children that the snow is the same plasticine, only the figures are more voluminous.
Explain to the kid – how to fasten snow details with water or twigs, what shapes can be made from snow, what size and how much fun it is. Blind with the whole family of the favorite cartoon character of the child or fairy-tale character, the family of penguins or forest animals. And you can even arrange a family competition for the best sculpture.
- Picnic in the middle of winter
Unusually and interesting. Walking on a winter day on a snowy forest (the park is also suitable) will become even more pleasant if you take with you a bag of sweets and a thermos with hot tasty tea.
A table with stools can be made of snow, and even for birds that remain to winter, it is possible to make bird feeders and fill them with breadcrumbs or bird food.
- We are looking for treasure
The complexity of the game depends on the age of the kids. The treasure itself needs to be bought in a store (toy, chupa-chups, mini-chocolate, etc.), packed in waterproof containers and, of course, buried (and remember where buried). The optimal place for burying is the yard of your own dacha or the forest. Then draw a treasure map and give it to the child.
Tips can be devised as a development of erudition, and just fun or useful for the body – “hot-cold”, make a snow angel, three steps to the right and one forward, etc. For older children, the search plan can be complicated up to a real snow quest.
- Making ice decorations
This kind of entertainment will be most appropriate at the dacha where there is own Christmas tree, and no one will interfere with the creative process. We color the water with colors, pour it into different shapes, add tinsel, spruce twigs, berries, bumps, etc.
And do not forget to dip both ends of the rope into the water so that “on the output” you get a loop on which the ice toy hangs. With these toys and dress up your own or a Christmas tree.
- Artist in the snow
We need water and a few colors of food coloring. We raise in advance, we take pails to the street with us. Paints can be sprayed on the snow and after dazzling from it (already colored) something colorful and original. Or sprinkle ready-made figures. Or just draw a picture directly on the snow.
A series of colorful snowmen or a snowy “panel” (using a spray) will look great in your winter garden and even on the playground. At the same time show your baby how to mix colors. For example, red and yellow will come out orange, blue and yellow – green, and green and red – brown.
- Ice mosaic
The principle is the same – we freeze the tinted water in a wide shallow container and afterwards create a mosaic on the street. The easiest way is to use plastic plates – they are inexpensive, and then throw it out is not a pity.
- Winter shooting
Playing snowballs is always fun and dynamic, but the risk of injury has not been canceled. Those parents who do not want to cover up the “lights” under the eyes of children, can direct the snow-machine-gun fire in the right direction. We hang on a tree of a large format a board with marked glasses and – go ahead!
Who gets the most – gets a prize for accuracy (say, a chocolate bar that you still need to find on the treasure map).
- Winter fortress
Many people are familiar with this fun. Today’s mothers and dads once selflessly built such fortresses on parks and in parks, armed with cardboard shields, firing back from “enemies” and eating with pleasure. The fortress can have even tunnels and balconies – not without the help of adults, of course. And after the “ceasefire” and mutually-firing, you can arrange a tea party on the fortress balcony, grabbing glasses and a thermos with tea from home in advance.
Your strongest fortress will be the strongest, if you build it out of big balls and fasten it, pressing it, using water. As for the labyrinths and tunnels, it is better to dig them in the snow (ramming from inside) after the thickness of the snowdrifts reaches more than 50 cm. For the kids, it will be enough and 15 cm: to climb inside, of course, it will not be possible (early and dangerous), but the ball is rolled – easily.
- Snow hut
Dry snow for such a lesson will not work. Only wet, which is perfectly molded and is in large quantities. The idea of the game is to build a house in which you can crawl.
Outside its walls can be painted with the same tinted water or even invented its family coat of arms. Nearby you can build a smaller hut – for a toy, for example.
- Children’s Winter Olympics
We buy chocolate medals, print out letters of commendation on the printer, attract children from the age of 5 years to the competitions and divide them into teams. Competitions depend on children’s opportunities and your imagination. For example, clear a shovel track from “this tree” and “who’s next” for a certain period of time, throw snowballs at the target, arrange a run with obstacles, build snowmen for speed, etc.
Just remember – for losers there must also be prizes !! Let the chocolate medals for the winners be in the gold wrap (1 place), for the loser in the silver wrap. No one is particularly offended, and the winners are noted.
And you can dazzle with children a real snow lantern , placing an LED lamp inside a cone of snowballs.
Or make ice balls , pouring them through a straw of colored water directly on the street (temperature – no higher than minus 7 degrees).
And you can arrange races on the sled (in the role of the navigator – the child, as a passenger – a toy), or introduce the child to the mitten-loss , making her face with threads and buttons.
What gifts for the New Year girls from 1 to 13 years – daughter, granddaughter, niece?
And this, of course, is far from all the fun in the middle of winter. Just remember that you were also a child, and then fantasy will do its job.
Happy New Year!
